Cheers to another year!
The day after we came back from DC we took the greyhound to NYC. It was New Years Eve and we had plans to hang out with our friends Jenny and Anthony. We were originally going to go to a dance club but changed it to a house party in Williamsburg.
It was the place to be because the train was packed! And there were tons of bars and an arcade bar in that part of the neighborhood. We were psyched to be there.
At the party, they talked about heading out but that never happened. It turned out that Jenny and Anthony were the only couple we knew. It kind of sucked to be in a room of strangers, older strangers who knew each other really well too. Ugh mingling and small talk.
So for 3ish hours they just played youtube videos. Not really me and Mike's scene... but can't complain about free food and booze!
The view from the apartment wasn't bad!
And Mike was really nice and bought an expensive bottle of champagne for everyone!
I don't really have any New Year's resolutions. They never work out anyway!
Right now, I can only think about graduation and jobs. I'm feeling that familiar high, that I'm going to go real well and find the role that I would excel at. Like I'm on top of the world. I have a Masters from an Ivy League! I studied hard in undergrad AND grad school.
At the same time, I'm also jaded and feeling a bit nervous. All the what ifs, what could be or could have beens. Choices and decisions...
Yikes I think I think too much.
Anyway, I feel that 2016 is going to be a good year, and I'm excited it's here :)
