This morning was rough. At 7:30am, I got an alert that the D train was rerouting to the N line in both directions due to a signal problem. GREAT, I thought, I already woke up late. So I waited 30 minutes on the platform for the shuttle subway all the while wondering if I should take the bus instead. I don't know anything about buses and I might get more lost, so I decided to wait. Plus, I saw huge crowds of people forcing their way onto the bus. Nuh uh. The subway platform was getting fuller by the minute. After 30 minutes, the guy announces that "there are no trains at this time." WHAT. I was fuming at this point.

So I headed down to the street to catch a bus. At the same time, everyone rushed out of the station and tried to get a blue ticket for the bus. I felt bad for the guy who was handing them out. All these hands reaching out to him and pushing each other. It was stress-inducing. And this lady tells me to move like I wasn't trying and I screamed I CAN'T. Ugh. While I was waiting for the bus, THE TRAIN COMES. Like really? People literally ran up the steps to try and catch it and it leaves the station after 2 minutes. It didn't even wait!

I finally got on the bus to take me to the X28 to go into Manhattan at 8:50am. Thank god for my external battery because my phone was dying from using the GPS and google maps. In all, it took me 2 hours to get to work when it usually takes 50 minutes. Well... that's New York for ya.
