The Met

As you can probably tell from my lack of posts so far, I'm traveling for work again and so haven't really found time to cook and do other personal things. I'm mostly vegetating at home or practicing yoga when I'm home now, because you know, I'm exhausted, I miss my bed and J, and health is a priority when I'm eating out 4/7 days again. Anyway...

We went to the Met a few weekends ago to see two special exhibits - Apollo's Muse: The Moon in the Age of Photography and Da Vinci's Saint Jerome.

The space exhibit was pretty cool because we saw photographs that astronauts took during the moon walk, as well a history of artistic renditions and photographs of the moon before the camera was invented.

I'm not a super fan of Da Vinci, so his painting of Saint Jerome didn't really excite me. BUT I did enjoy reading about his process and our guesses about why it's unfinished.

We had some time to kill before Leslie's birthday party at 5pm, so we chilled at the museum and practiced our portrait photography skills (no pictures of us because we're private and want our faces to stay out of social media). The lighting was amazing:
